Site Kit by Google in WordPress 2019: In December of last year, Google presented Site Kit, a few days ago Announced the beta version for developers and in this episode, I tell you that the topic is going. Site Kit by Google is a free open source add-on that collects all of Google’s product information for websites and displays them in a colorful panel within your WordPress.
In the first version, four Google tools that we all know as the palms of our hands have been integrated into this plugin:
- Search Console: Used to learn how users discover your content in Google searches.
- Analytics: It helps you understand how users navigate your website.
- AdSense: To place ads and monitor your earnings.
- PageSpeed: Tool to identify critical performance problems for your website.
With Site Kit, we will have directly on our WordPress desktop all the unified information of these four Google tools/services. And we will also have advanced reports and the option to configure some parameters from the same admin and desktop of our WordPress. They offer us a panel, in which we will be shown how well our site is working for Search Console, Analytics, AdSense and PageSpeed.
The new version has the following news:
Site verification without problems with the search console Provides the configuration of Analytics, AdSense, Tag Manager and Optimize. Simple reports added and per page from Search Console, Analytics and AdSense, to help understand the complete acquisition and monetization funnel Continuous audit and monitoring of site performance with PageSpeed Insights Information of all the products that have been connected and that appear on the control panel, to help the user understand the statistics.
This plugin is being developed and is active in GitHub and developers who want to start using it only need Google Cloud Platform and OAuth experience.
Google is improving the configuration process to put it in the repository … And for the lucky ones that are the WordCamp Europe 2019 a team of engineers will be at the Google stand to answer questions about Google’s services, products, and platforms and of course of Site Kit.
